Very smart , even in those days, with a smart pub. in the corner . Actually Georgian not Victorian. House prices around a couple of million.

Can’t wait to read this, Kennington was very familiar to me when I lived in South London, my Dad worked for 30 years in Kennings Way and I used to work there in my school holidays. This was in the late 60s, there were still many of the old Victorian dwellings and gentrification had not really got that far, except in Dolphin Square. I shall be able to visualise the fictional Dulcimer Street and its neighbourhood.
